Day 4 – Be A Worker

The 4th day, we were workers. In the morning, Dui 2 and Dui 3 were together in the garment class. We were trained to sew a small purse. It’s easy if we use sewing machine but I was told to sew it by hand. So, It took long time to sew because I did it wrongly :( I had to undo things and started over again. The work product was great. I did it well hehe. It looks really cute but it’s too cute to carry around. We can also use it as a hat if we place it upside down. Well, it looks actually like a crown, not hat :-D


In the afternoon, we switched the class with Dui1&4. They had to make the bag while we did what they did in the morning, Computer class. They taught us to make a name card using a program that is similar to Photoshop, but it’s hard cos the menu was in Chinese :( I spent short time finishing the assignment ‘cos I wanted to surf the internet. It was my first time getting a chance to surf the internet since I was in Taiwan for 4 days.


At night, they had movie of Taiwanese Puppets called "Bu Dai Chi". They (FuDaoYuans) said the scenery in this movie distinguishes Taiwan very well. It’s Yu San, well-known mountains in Taiwan. I guess I was too stupid that I don’t recognize Taiwan from the movie at all. The movie was great. The background looked realistic. Unfortunately, they speak in Taiwanese, not Mandarin. So, we didn’t understand what it was about. (Hehe, I said like I understand Mandarin very well :-P I mean no one could translate it for me.)

The action scenes were perfect. It’s like normal kung fu movie played by real human. There was an old character whose skin was burned. It looked so real. What I didn’t like in the movie was the female characters. It was obvious that the female puppet was talked by a man. I didn’t watch the whole movie.

I went back to my room to get ready to leave tomorrow morning. I was really happy ‘cos I felt like I was going to leave the hell.
